Have you ever had a moment in therapy where you shared something heavy, felt a wave of relief, and then immediately tried to move on to the next topic?

It is completely natural to want to keep moving. But when we skip past those small moments of relief, ease, or connection, our brains do not always get the chance to fully register that we are safe now.

In the experiential work we do together, you might notice me pausing us when something shifts. I might ask you a question like: "What is it like in your body to share that with me right now?" or "How does it feel to notice your own strength in this story?"

This is what we call processing the change.

We aren't just analyzing your history; we are actively exploring how healing feels in the present moment. By slowing down to witness and feel the "good stuff", these moments of connection, self-compassion, or newfound lightness, we help your nervous system truly integrate the experience. It teaches your brain that it is safe to let the guard down, absorb the care, and grow.

Healing isn’t just about shedding the old weight. It is about taking up space in the new, lighter version of you.

The next time you notice a small shift or a moment of comfort in our sessions, let's pause there for a moment. What would it feel like to let that good feeling sink in?

Feel free to explore my website and reach out if it feels right.
